WEEK 1. (1st – 10th) LORD DEEPEN OUR FAITH & OUR COMMITMENT. Hebrews 11:1 “Faith is confidence in what we hope for & assurance about what we do not see.”

1 John 5:13 (Jesus tells us), “I write about these things to you who believe in the Son of God so that you may know you have eternal life.”

Father God, we generously give thanks for the encouragement we receive and give to one another. Guide us to faithfulness in committing our gifts & talents to you & exercising them in ministry here in Southport. Show us how to boldly share our faith or quietly share a prayer with someone in need. Enable us Lord, each one, to go past grudges or hurts as we confess our pride, failings or lack of effort in the past. Renew us, your church Lord, as you guide our plans, steps & actions. In Jesus’s name Amen.

WEEK 2. (11th -17th) LORD SUTAIN & NURTURE OUR FAMILY. 2 Corinthians 9:6. “Whoever sows sparingly will reap sparingly & whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully, each one must give as he has decided in his heart.”

2 Corin. 9:8. “God is able to make all grace abound to you so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times you may abound in every good work.” Amen

As brothers & sisters in Christ together we pray for each other. Please pray for;

*Families & individuals at all Worship services & the growth of our 4pm Café church.

*Rev Ian, our Executive & Elders, Leaders of Groups, Office Staff & Volunteers.

*Those of our Congregation not attending, now in care because of age or illness.

*Our Community Breakfast team & attendees who are fed & supported each Thurs.

*That we generously support our new Music System to support & enhance worship.

*Those in ill health, sick, in rehabilitation or recovery from life issues & problems.

*That rosters present & into the future be filled willingly & adequately.

*Families, especially the young children who attend our Mainly Music Programme.

Remember to pray daily for those needing ongoing prayer in their daily lives.

WEEK 3. (18th -24th) LORD, LEAD US INTO THE FUTURE. Jeremiah 29:11. “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you & not to harm you, plans to give you hope & a future.”

Philippians 3:14. (Letter from Paul) “I press on towards the goal to win the prize for which God has called me in Christ Jesus.”

Let us each one, begin this week in personal confession, reflecting on our failings and seeking forgiveness, freely offered in Jesus to each one of us. In accepting this take time to renew blessing, peace, love & renewal in his name to move forward.

Thankful for abundant blessings of the past we ask God to us to sustain & enhance our church ministry here in the present. Lord, prompt us in our daily living to live, witness & share our love & deep commitment to you. As we prepare for a new ministry agent, lead us through the honest appraisal & church profile as you prepare us to welcome whoever you choose. Lord hear our prayer that our church finances become stronger for ministry to support ministry into our community in the love of Christ. Show us how to embrace our multi-cultural diversity here & welcome new ideas or ways in your name. Through Jesus Christ our Lord & Saviour, Amen.

WEEK 4. (25th – 31st) REFLECT WITH THANKS. Ephesians 1:15-16. “For this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus & your love for all God’s people, I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in our prayers.”

1 Thessalonians 5:18. “Give thanks in all circumstances for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”

Gracious & merciful God, we give thanks for hope for the future in your love, forgiveness in Christ & joyfulness in your Holy Spirit. We give thanks for answered prayer where our needs are filled, your mercy received & we are washed in your compassion. Thankful for our weekly 4pm Café Church we pray for support to this ministry from all our church members that it move on from strength to strength, to bring younger families with children into our church. Bless Pastor Marty & Jill, as well as Cheree as together they lead this family ministry here. As we are faithful in prayer Lord, may we discern each step into the future, able to pursue in your name, our mission & challenges to be met here in Southport Uniting Church. In the name of our Loving Lord Jesus we pray, Amen.
