Fri 1 “Before the world was created, the Word already existed, He was with God and He was the same as God.” John 1:1. God of new beginnings, send your Holy Spirit to help us understand the Holy Scriptures, in the light of Jesus, our Risen Lord. Read John ch 1 and reflect on God the Father, Son & Holy Spirit. Amen

Sat 2 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart & do not depend on your own will. Seek God in all you do & He will direct your paths.” Prov.3:5-6. Pray about where you are in your Christian journey, & the future. Amen

Sun 3 “Jesus said, I am the Resurrection & the life, whoever believes in me will live even though he dies.” John 11:25. Talk to God in prayer about your beliefs, or unbeliefs & give thanks for Eternal life in Jesus.

Mon 4 “Love one another earnestly….for…. through the living & eternal word of God you have been born again.” 1Peter 1:22. Lord Jesus, grow my small faith, as you love me & I love others in your name. Amen

Tue 5 “Happy are those whose sins are forgiven – whose wrongs are pardoned.” Psalm 32:1. Welcome to pray-ers, whether new or seasoned Christians. Confess – unburden the load & God will forgive you. Amen

Wed 6 God tells us, “I know the plans I have for you – they are plans for good & not for disaster – to give you a future & a hope.” Jer. 29:11. In prayer lift your disappointments or difficulties to God. Amen

Thur 7 “Kind words are like honey – sweet to the soul & healthy for the body.” Proverbs 16:24. Show your love in an act of kindness to a friend, neighbour or stranger & be blessed. Pray for inspiration. Amen

Fri 8 “I am the bread of life, Jesus told them. He who comes to me will never be hungry & he who believes in me will never thirst.” John 6:35. Ponder on the Communion symbols of the body & blood of Jesus Christ.   In prayer ask God to send His Spirit into your life, to show you the way to live as Christ showed us. Amen

Sat 9  “God loves a cheerful giver.”2 Corin.9:7. Pray for Rev Ian, Pastor Marty & Jill, as our ministry  is continued in difficult times. Pray for generosity in the weekly giving to our church ministry. Amen

Sun 10 “This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it.” Ps.118:24. Let your joy erupt into thanks for creation, blessings, new possibilities and for mothers everywhere on Mothers’ Day. Amen.

Mon 11 “Be strong & courageous, for the Lord your God is with you.” Josh. 1:9. Pray for the health, strength & healing on the front line of fighting COV-19, those sick & those ministering care to them. Amen

Tue 12 “God’s grace be with you all.” 1Tim.6:20. Make a prayer of thanks for needs met, support in families & neighbourhoods, warmth of sunshine & light in Jesus Christ. Pray for your neighbours. Amen

Wed 13 “Those who dwell in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty.” Ps.91:1. Pray for comfort to the dying & bereaved, ill or troubled. Pray for chaplains who minister to them.

Thur 14 “A friend loves at all times & a brother is born for a time of adversity.” Prov.17:17. Loving God, may we be brothers & sisters to those around us finding life difficult. Bless them & each one of us, amen.

Remember to pray each day for those in need of being upheld in prayer. Add others known to you……..

Fri 15 “The Lord God gives me strength. He makes me sure footed as a deer & keeps me safe on the mountain.” Hab.3: 18-19. Let us together pray for the elderly among us & for those in nursing homes.

Sat 16 “Peace is what I leave with you, it is my own peace I give you.” John14:27. Pray these words of Jesus, asking God to identify any fears & needs, then take the time allow peace to flow in response. Amen

Sun 17 “Be still & know that I am God.” Ps.46:10. Read & reflect on Psalm 91. Father God, I picture your arms around me & those I love. I am your precious child. Thankyou. I pray for my family members………….

Mon 18 “Sing unto the Lord a new song & his praises from the ends of the earth.” Isaiah 42:10. Praise God today & pray for healing & restoration around our world in trauma, for families across our earth. Amen

Tue 19 “God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love & a sound mind.” 2Tim.1:7. Give thanks for the saving measures globally & especially for us in Australia. Pray for all unemployed or homeless. Amen

Wed 20 “ The outward man does indeed suffer wear & tear but everyday the inward man receives fresh strength.” 1Corin.4:17. Thankyou God for the new hope seen in communities working together. Amen

Thur 21 Read Ch 5 of Revelation, then express your thanks for forgiveness in Jesus. “Worthy is the lamb who was slain to receive power & wealth, wisdom, strength & honour, glory & praise. Hallelujah!” Amen

Fri 22 “Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by name, you are mine. When you go through deep waters, I will be with you.” Is.43:1-2. Pray for those experiencing mental health issues.

Sat 23 “Open me the gates of the temple & I will go in.” Ps. 118:19. Lord God, gather our congregation in the folds of your love, wherever they may be. Join us tomorrow as we worship together online. Amen

Sun 24 “I will rejoice in the Lord. I will be joyful in the God of my salvation.” Heb.3:18. There will be ups and downs in life, but may the joy of the Lord be your strength & song. Pray for our church leaders. Amen

Mon 25 “Give your burdens to the Lord & He will take care of you.”Ps.55:22. In prayer, Father God, we bring the weary workers who battle COV-19 in many and varied ways with dedication, thankful for them.

Tue 26 “By speaking the truth in the spirit of love we must grow up in every way to Christ.” Eph.4:13. Almighty God, be in my every word I speak, to encourage not condemn, to be humble not haughty. Amen

Wed 27 Read Ephesians ch 4. “Under His control (Christ), the whole body grows & builds itself up through love. (v16) We pray together for the future of our S.U.C. ministry, mission, outreach & fellowship. Amen.

Thur 28 “Put on the new self which is created in God’s likeness & reveals itself in the true life that is upright & holy.” Eph.4:24. Let us each one pray about our own ministry areas of service, in Christ. Amen

Fri 29 “So you must live like people who belong to the light – for it is the light that brings a rich harvest of every kind.” Eph.5:9. Lord Jesus, may we shine your light into our own homes, community & church. Amen

Sat 30 “In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ always give thanks for everything to God the Father.”Eph.5:20. We give thanks for Rev Ian, Pastor Marty & Jill who have been leading us. Lord bless & uphold them in love.

Sun 31 Today read your favourite Bible passage. Let us today all come together to the oneness of our faith; in praise of God, knowledge of Jesus the Son of God & in the power of the Holy Spirit. Blessings. Amen

Wed 1. Father God, health issues & stopping the spread of the Corona Virus are crucial in our families, community & world. Lord, be with everyone effected in the many ways. Amen

Thur 2. Loving Jesus, you often withdrew to pray, so in this isolation & social upheaval, nudge us all to take time to be with you – in contemplative prayer. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Fri 3. Holy Spirit, as a church body, join us together with the threads of your love, comfort & patience as we suspend our services & gatherings at our church building & go online. Amen

Sat 4. In prayer we bring the families of our Gold Coast. Gracious God, comfort the lonely in isolation, heal the sick in their discomfort, enable the well to be positive & sensible. Amen

Sun 5. Let us today count our blessings as we worship our Triune God. Give thanks for daily needs met, family love & care, food, shelter, nurture & growth around us. Praise God amen.

Mon 6. In love we bring in prayer our health workers; doctors, nurses, wardsmen, technicians & all who give selflessly to care for the sick & enable us to keep well & healthy.

Tue 7. We come before you, our Father God, in this Holy Week, acknowledging our unworthiness, because of our sinful nature. Forgive us in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen

Wed 8. Lord Jesus, we ponder the depth of your love for us, to suffer & die a cruel death, for each one of us -save us from sin with forgiveness & raise us up into Eternal life. Amen

Thur 9. We pray today for Rev Ian, Pastor Marty & Jill, who continue to lead us in these difficult times. Link us all together in faith & prayer, strong in the power of Christ Jesus.

Fri 10. Good Friday. Luke 23:26-56. As you read the sadness of the story, allow God to tell you that he did it all in love. Lord Jesus, you took the pain may I be eternally thankful. Amen

Sat 11. John 14:1-31. Almighty God, in the darkness of the unknown, thank you that you are with us. Enable us to let the words of Jesus fill us, renew us & strengthen us. Share this.

Sun 12. Easter Sunday. Matthew 28:1-20 Let us be glad & rejoice in Christ’s resurrection which transforms us in salvation, new life through Him. Lord come in our need & fill us.

Mon 13. Christ is Risen. May we go on, forever changed by the Easter story, inspired & blessed to walk on our journeys with compassion to the needy, in the light of Christ.  Amen

Tue 14. Father God, we ask you to bless those who are being supported through the Lenten donations with Uniting World & others. Stir us to be generous & find ways of supporting.

Wed 15. Today we ask God to guide & bless all who continue to be affected by COVID-19, through illness or family disruption, unemployment, financial struggles or disadvantage.

Thur 16. Wondrous creative God, thankyou for creation day to day. We pray for researchers to find cures & vaccines, especially against virulent virus infections. Lord hear our prayer.

Fri 17. Pray today for your own family & neighbours with varied & changing circumstances, difficulties or grief. Loving God, may our actions be loving, our support ongoing. Amen

Sat 18. A Day of Thankfulness. Write a prayer of thanks & appreciation to our God for all his blessings, support, answers to prayer & ongoing encouragement. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Sun 19. Gracious God, we pray today for our Uniting Church in Australia, wherever & however all the members may worship you. Bless them with love, to worship in praise.

Mon 20. Today may prayer bring for you; Peace in your heart, Rest for your soul, A humble attitude, Yourself blessed, Everything in perspective & a day of Real possibilities. Amen.

Tue 21. “The righteous will flourish like a palm tree.” Psalm 92:12. We pray today for present & future ministries at & from S.U.C. Open our hearts Lord, to change in your will.

Wed 22. Lord God, comfort & bless the elderly, residents at Labrador Gardens & Woodlands Lodge, those with families or alone at home. We pray for support to them in their struggles.

Thur 23. Set aside time to pray for the abused & needy in our society, the abandoned or lonely, mentally ill or sick. Pray for a way to help with a phone call, shopping or friendship.

Fri 24. Lord, hear our prayer for our Politicians in all areas of Government; Federal, State & Council. Pray for your own members in the tough decisions being made at this time. Amen

Sat 25. Anzac Day.  We pause to remember the sacrifice of so many over the years to defend freedom. Father God, comfort the grieving or troubled as we value them all. Amen

Sun 26. As today, Father God, we pray for families, we ask a blessing on the children being cared for by UnitingCare Out of Home Services & the staff who give support & guidance.

Mon 27. We are thankful Lord Jesus for our staff, ministers & volunteers in ministry at S.U.C. Pray for our Elders & Church Councilors, as we all support in many & varied ways.

Tue 28. Lord God, we pray for our world recovering from viral attack, with health & financial issues at the fore. Father God we want you in control, may we listen & act. Amen                                                                                                                             .

Wed 29. In our community are so many essential services provided so we pray for; Police, Ambulance, State Emergency, Armed Forces, Chaplains & Medical Teams. In Jesus, Amen.

Thur 30. “Peace be with You…. Receive the Holy Spirit.” May the Resurrected Lord Jesus whisper these words to you today, sharing the message, God’s Good News, He is Alive.

Psalm 23. Read and ponder on the Shepherd’s Psalm today, reflecting on Jesus, our Good Shepherd, his guidance in the past, support in troubled times & thanks for blessings. Amen
